Geeks24x7 (“we”, “us”) provides computer repair and IT support in Melbourne. This policy explains what personal information we collect through geeks24x7.com.au and when you contact us, how we use it, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Booking and enquiry details: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the service you need and the description of the problem you give us.
- Job details: information about your device and the work we do, and contact and billing details needed to complete a repair or service.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our web server and security tools to keep the site running and protect it from attacks.
We do not ask for, and you should not send, passwords, bank details or other sensitive information through the website form.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, book and carry out work, and contact you about it.
- To issue quotes and invoices and keep business records we are legally required to keep.
- To protect the website, including blocking repeated failed logins and spam.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Your data and your devices
When you give us a device to repair or recover, we access its contents only as far as needed to do the job. We do not copy or keep your files after the job is finished unless you ask us to, for example as part of a data transfer or backup.

Some of these providers store information outside Australia. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
Security and retention
The website uses HTTPS encryption, and access to booking records is restricted to authorised staff. We keep enquiry and job records only as long as we need them for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete them.
Access, correction and complaints
